The special piece took me 2 years to complete. I would continually be stuck and pop it away for a month or two until i found some near inspiration to continue.
The long pauses of contemplation between painting sessions reflect in my own life and also in this piece. Asking myself the big life questions... Who am i? Where do i want to be, What do i stand for?
Im not sure I have those answers just yet but l am sure that this piece is ready for its new home. It is a striking piece that will be a statement wherever she is hung.
The different textures and contrast of colours reflects the diversity of our beauftul earth and also while we are all very different, we are all very much the same.
