‘Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time’

About

I have always had a deep need to create. As a child I would spend countless hours painting anything I could get my hands on. Becoming a mother at an early age, I would get my children involved in my passion and would hold workshops for the local kids.

Now that my children have grown older, I have spent every waking hour obsessively fulfilling my dream of becoming an abstract artist. With COVID playing such an unexpected role of giving me more time to reflect and refine my skills, I have never been more fulfilled than I am right now. Painting has become my life.

‘If I have learned anything on this amazing journey of life, its that its never too late to follow your dreams. I was told a long time ago, if you do what you love, then you’ll never work a day in your life. And I truly understand that now.
As an adult with ADHD that is constantly overthinking everything, I have found my place in this beautiful world of art, where my mind switches off and I fall into a flow state of calm. Although it can be very challenging pulling myself away from my creations, often painting into the early hours of the morning. Still, I feel incredibly blessed to have found my true passion and am grateful for every artwork I create. It has been such a healing journey for me and my studio is my solace.’
